Notorious for its history and stories, this trail leads you to a lake with human skeletal remains scattered across its banks. But it’s not all dark. This high-altitude trek takes you through ever-changing landscapes – forests, meadows, alpine and summit regions – all indicative of the receding vegetation with elevation gain. We like doing this trek during a time when the state flower of Uttarakhand is in full bloom and winter is just around the corner.
